As highlighted at our AGM in November, the funding received from the Department of Education and Skills (DES) falls far short of what is required to run and maintain our beautiful school. Like many schools, we are heavily dependent on the voluntary contributions made, to meet the true running costs, as we endeavour to maintain the quality of the services we provide.
The money received through the voluntary contribution goes directly to pay for such basic needs as:
- Electricity to light the classrooms
- Gas to heat the school
- Water
- Cleaning costs
- IT infrastructure
- Valuable classroom resources and equipment
The Board are asking parents/guardians to consider making a voluntary contribution to cover these costs. We are asking you to consider a contribution of €130 for the first child, €250 for two children and €300 for three or more children. This can be paid in instalments. A family contribution of €250 triggers a significant tax break for the school.
You can download the Voluntary Contribution form. We also encourage you to submit a CHY4 Certificate and return to the school office, as this tax relief is of enormous benefit to the school.
No donation is too small, and all are welcomed. Details of contributions are strictly confidential.
