Fifth Class B spent a morning measuring the classroom, their belongings, each other, their teacher, the hallways and the basketball pitch! They used lots of equipment from rulers and metre sticks to tape measures and trundle wheels. They measured the distance they could run in 10 seconds and worked out the distance to the Principal’s office from the classroom. Everyone agreed that real life measuring is a fun way to study the Mathematics of Measure!
