The Cathaoirleach of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown, Ossian Smyth, together with lots of members of An Taisce DLR, join us to ceremoniously plant a tree at the back of our school. The green team welcomed the special visitors and showed them around our school garden. They were delighted with the children, the garden, the spring flowers in the front of the school, and the school in general. Grainne Dempsey, who worked with us for so long, was the link to An Taisce, and she came along on the day. Our new tree is a Windsor Red Apple tree, and Rebecca Jeffers from An Taisce, gave us the gift of some raspberry canes also.
What a lovely way to commemorate National Tree Day, 2019
